Sustainability is our driver, not a fashion.

    This has been our vision already 20 years ago when we developed and launched our BIOPAP® food containers becoming an alternative to traditional packaging materials.

    We operate sustainably with our dual-ovenable biodegradable and compostable food trays and we only use electricity from certified renewable resources for our production units. Already in 2001 we installed the first photovoltaic systems on our roofs. With the new industrial site that will start its production at the beginning of 2023, the share of self-produced renewable electricity will exceed 60%.

    Our raw materials are European Nordic forests, among the most pristine areas of our planet. These are non-intensive, non-food renewable resources that do not use pesticides, fertilizers and artificial watering for their growth. It is about certified and well-managed forests where biodiversity is preserved. BIOPAP® is PEFC and FSC certified.


    Our choices are always aimed at minimizing our environmental impact, from the materials design, to the supply chain, in the production of containers and their disposal. Also in this fields we are at the forefront with 100% LED lighting and brightness and presence control. Innovations on proprietary production systems and air conditioning & cooling systems have allowed us to reduce the consumption of electricity per unit produced by 54% compared to 2018. Our buildings are designed according to bioclimatic criteria to reduce energy consumption for the lighting and air conditioning at its root.


    We have a totally European supply chain, we guarantee security of supply and food safety.


    We have a ZERO Waste production. All trimmings and production scraps are delivered directly to a partner paper mill to be recycled into new packaging paper and take on a second life. Products with small non-conformities or defects are selected and donated to charitable activities for social catering.

    Our containers are suitable at the same time for preparing, preserving, transporting and heating food with an eco-design approach of minimizing the packaging weight.

    They are a perfect example of circular economy: trays and plates made out of renewable materials, used for preserving and eating food collected in compostable waste without separation, turning then into compost that is used back into agriculture to replace non-renewable fertilizers. We close the carbon loop in a never ending and natural circle.

    Our naturally high tech food trays service the sustainable catering and food sector, allowing operational savings and total cost of use while significantly reducing the use on non-renewable resources.
