Our quality management system was already designed in the early stage according to ISO 9001 guidelines to drive our innovation process and our production. In 2020 we have decided to go for the certification to strengthen our strategic review and allow our customers a faster approval path for the biodegradable, compostable and recyclable BIOPAP® Food trays. On November 2021 we went through the ISO 9001:2015 audit and got the certification without a single remark. Throughout the years we have integrated our know-how and our competence into sound and reliable procedures giving further boost to quality consistency and innovation. This milestone is an achievement of all our people committed to common successful goals.

This important certification was still missing to our long list of circular economy certifications. Compostability is about biological circularity: taking form nature and giving back to nature. Our unique approach remains to design our own raw materials, our own production process and our own trays, BIOPAP® is all about sustainability and performance. We have been the first to develop and produce biodegradable, compostable and recyclable food trays resisting to extreme temperatures, from freezing to baking applications.  We have been the 3^rd company in Italy, back in 2009, to achieve a CIC Compostable certificate according to EN 13432:2002 for industrial composting where the disintegration test is done on a real scale and not on a pilot scale or laboratory scale. We have decided to go even further an apply for the OK compost HOME® certification assessing the compostability in home composting conditions. OK compost HOME® certification requires the disintegration of the packaging to take place in more difficult conditions for the microorganism to play their role, with lower temperature and lower overall humidity. This ensures the product can disintegrate also in your backyard composter and therefore will disintegrate also very well at industrial scale. The OK compost HOME® certification S2251 is a further achievement to show the strong eco-design of BIOPAP® LC trays and the best compostability also in Home composting equipment. Together, CIC Compostability certification and OK compost HOME® certification ensure BIOPAP® LC trays perfectly compost in any scale operation, from your garden composter to the industrial composing plant of your municipality helping to reduce significantly the biological waste that needs to be incinerated or land filled.

A new perfect combination, the result of a joint research lasting over 6 months for premium salads able to satisfy the needs of a clientele focused on well-being with products and packaging in compliance with the whole natural cycle. The integrated quality supply chain from the field to the preparation of MIOORTO for the salad and the heat-sealed and compostable BIOPAP® printed bowls for the container. A technical and functional innovation that is immediately perceived both visually and to the touch. The salad is supplied without plastic dressing, all to convey the maximum naturalness of the product to the end customer.

Perth Inflight Catering is a family run and owned business in Perth, Western Australia. We predominantly make food for the regional Airline industry that service the mining in Western Australia. We also make food for some government hospitals and are creating a new line of heat and eat frozen meals. We realise that our industry is a main contributor to landfill waste for years and we are doing our best to reduce our negative impact on the environment. We have introduced 8 new streams of waste to divert as much as we can out of landfill. Another thing that we are making our priority is to be 100% rid of single use plastic by 2025 and we have already hit tremendous milestones for this and are so happy to have discovered BIOPAP through Natureline Packaging. We are in our very early stages of creating and trialling BIOPAP® for our new ready-made frozen range and have been very impressed so far! Although a lot of people are still asking for plastic, we are saying no and are educating potential customers on the positive impact we are making on the environment and changing their minds. Being in Australia and having an opportunity to use BIOPAP® has had its challenges due to distance and COVID, however we are committed to using this great new technology and spreading the message of using sustainable packaging here in WA and across Australia. We hope to use this across our entire range of meals for both on airport and off and are working our way towards that. We are very happy and so grateful to be able to use and to have been introduced to BIOPAP®through Natureline Packaging.
